Gore-met Recipes

Cooking is my second love. And if by chance you’re wondering how such diverse interests as horror and cooking could ever be combined, I offer the cookbook, Conjuring Dark Delicacies as exhibit Number 1. This cookbook, which was published by Dark Delicacies as a benefit project for the NEVA Foundation, contains recipes for Werewolf Treats, Nikita and Dmitri’s favorite snack, and also Stuffed Turkey Buzzard, a lovely holiday meal prepared from fresh roadkill. Of course there are other recipes in the book, too. And they’re from folks you might have heard of. Folks like Stephen King, Clive Barker and Tim Curry, the actor.

However, these culinary experiences aren’t for the faint of heart. Hence you are forewarned. READ ON AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

Planning a holiday meal for 20 or so of your favorite ghouls and guys? Offer them Stuffed Turkey Buzzard, it's guaranteed to bring a smile to their faces.

Stuffed Turkey Buzzard

1 fresh roadkill* of turkey buzzard
1 quart popcorn
Salt and Pepper to taste

Procure a fresh roadkill of turkey buzzard. Dunk carcass in boiling, salted water and remove feathers. Chop off head and feet, remove entrails, (reserve for another use, unless they cannot be scraped off road.) Leave tail attached. Lightly salt and pepper carcass and cavity. Pack popcorn tightly into cavity and truss bird. Place in oven at 400 degrees F. and bake. Buzzard is done when popcorn pops and blows ass out of bird.

*Note: Fresh roadkill is a maximum of 24 hours old.

Looking for the perfect treat for your furry companion? Try Werewolf Treats. They'll wag their tails for these.

Werewolf Treats

1 slice liver
1 box corn muffin mix
1 clove garlic

In food processor, puree liver and garlic clove. Add muffin mix and blend well. Spread mixture onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees F. for 20 minutes. Slice and serve. Note: Treats can be frozen and will keep up to two months if your favorite werewolf or canine doesn't eat them all right away.
